HIRER-DRIVEN CARS USED SOLELY FOR SOCIAL, DOMESTIC & PLEASURE PURPOSES.
The Hirer is not permitted to re-hire the vehicle or carry passengers for hire reward.
Age and Driver's License Requirements
➢ A Valid Driver's License from country of origin is required and must be presented at time of delivery.
➢ International Driver's License is not required.
➢ Drivers must be between 25 and 80 years old with at least (2) two years driving experience.
➢ Drivers over 75 years old are required to present a medical certificate from a doctor to certify you are "fit to drive” in Barbados.
➢ Their will be a levy fee of US$2.50 per day capped at a 7 day rental of US$ 17.50
➢ If you wish to add multiple drivers, you will only need to pay for the additional permits, no other charges will be added.
➢ Maximum of three (3) drivers are allowed per vehicle.
Insurance Coverage
➢ All of our vehicles are quoted with basic rental insurance and this cannot be removed.
➢ A deductible of $1250.00 USD or $2500.00 BDS may be taken for any loss or damage to a vehicle while under your hire irrespective of "fault".
➢ Insurance does not in any way cover damages to rims and tyres or damage or loss of keys or key fobs.
➢ If you burst or damage a tyre, you will have to pay for a replacement.
➢ We have the lowest CDW compared to any other car rental agency in Barbados.
Car Seats and SAT NAV Rental
➢ Hirer may receive one free baby car seat per rental subject to availability. (Booster seats are also available).
➢ If you wish to rent a second car seat there would be an additional fee per day.
➢ A cleaning fee may be applied if the car seat is brought back in an extremely dirty or soiled condition.
➢ SAT NAV (G.P.S) is also available at an additional fee per day.
Payment Information
➢ Payment is made for the hire at the time of delivery.
➢ We accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) and local or foreign cash (Barbados Dollars, US Dollars, Pounds Sterling).
➢ All prices quoted via email exclude the Driver's Permit(s) as this is to be paid in cash.
➢ All prices are quoted in Barbados Dollars (BDS/BBD) unless stated otherwise or a conversion is requested.
➢ We provide free delivery and collection to the airport or your hotel/accommodation anywhere on the island.
➢ No hidden or additional charges besides what is quoted to you.
➢ No deposit is required.
Additional Rental Information
➢ Rates quoted will vary from season to season or month to month. Our rates are determined by supply, demand and market conditions.
➢ All quotes include unlimited mileage.
➢ If you choose airport delivery, when you come through the arrivals, look for a MAH Car Rentals sign with your name on it on your left hand side.
➢ Customers should refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level shown upon receiving the vehicle. If customers do not refuel the vehicle accordingly, they will be charged.
➢ Our vehicles are NON SMOKING! No pets are allowed in our vehicles. Car is to be returned in a fairly clean condition with no extreme or excessive amounts of sand or dirt. No surfboards are allowed on top of our vehicles. Failure to comply may lead to cleaning, damage or detailing fees.
➢ Customers are asked to inform us as soon as possible if they need to cancel a reservation for a valid reason. At least 2 weeks (14) days prior notice should be given. (Once it is not an emergency.) Extensions depend on availability.
➢ Prices are quoted for rentals on a 24hr basis; from morning to morning, or evening to evening. For example: one rental day would be from 10:30am until 10:30am. Vehicles cannot be returned any later than delivery time unless we have agreed otherwise or an additional fee is applied.
